Amusing Tales from the Past

The Mysterious Hitchhiker

One night, driving back home from work, I spotted a hitchhiker on the side of the road. I pulled over and offered him a ride. The man got in and thanked me. We started chatting, and I quickly realized we had a lot in common. We talked about movies, music, and life in general. When we got to his destination, he got out of the car and thanked me again. But as he walked away, I realized I never asked for his name, and neither did he. I never saw him again, and to this day, I wonder who he was.

The Mischievous Monkey

During my trip to Bali, I visited a monkey sanctuary. The monkeys were lively and playful, but I quickly learned they were also cunning and mischievous. I had a bottle of water with me, and a monkey perched on my shoulder, looking interested. Before I knew it, the monkey snatched my bottle and ran up a tree. I tried to climb up after him, but the little prankster kept jumping from branch to branch, always one step ahead of me. Eventually, I gave up, and the monkey sat contently on a high branch, sipping my water and chattering away.

The Forgetful Teacher

In my first year of high school, our math teacher was known for being forgetful. One day, she handed out a quiz, but she forgot to write the questions. She realized her mistake when the first student turned in the blank paper, and she was mortified. In an attempt to fix the problem, she quickly jotted down some vague questions on the board and told us to answer them. Needless to say, the quiz was a disaster, and we all got poor grades. But the teacher learned her lesson and never forgot to write the questions again.
