As someone who has always loved fashion and beauty, I never thought I would end up working as a hand model. One thing that became clear to me right away was that hand modeling requires an impressive level of attention to detail, as every inch of your hand is scrutinized by photographers and art directors. But with practice, I learned to perfect my poses and movements, and hone my skills.

A typical photoshoot for a hand model can take hours, with multiple set changes and thousands of clicks of the camera. What the audience sees in a final ad or magazine spread is only a fraction of the work that goes into capturing \"the perfect shot\". During my time on set, I've learned valuable lessons about patience, communication, and the importance of teamwork. Working with makeup artists, photographers, and art directors involves a lot of collaboration and clear communication to ensure that everyone is on the same page about the vision and objectives for the shoot. Even though there can be long stretches of downtime between photos, I always stay focused and ready to jump back into the shoot at a moment's notice.
The highlights: From commercials to fashion week
Over the years, I've been incredibly fortunate to work on some truly amazing projects. One of my proudest moments was being chosen as the hand model in a national commercial for a luxury skincare brand. It was a challenging shoot, but seeing the final product on TV was a surreal experience. I've also had the opportunity to model hand jewelry for some high-end fashion brands and walk in a few runway shows during fashion week.
