English Teaching and Learning Improvement Plan
In order to improve the English teaching and learning effect, the English teaching and research group has formulated a work plan for the academic year. The plan is divided into three parts: teaching objectives, teaching methods, and evaluation system.
Teaching Objectives
The teaching objectives of the English teaching and research group are as follows:
- To improve students' comprehensive English ability, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- To let students understand the basic grammar rules and apply them correctly in their daily communication.
- To enhance students' interest in English learning and cultivate their self-learning ability.
Teaching Methods
The English teaching and research group will adopt the following teaching methods to achieve the above objectives:
- Integrating multimodal teaching to develop students' multiple intelligences and catering for different levels of learners.
- Carrying out task-based teaching to enhance students' practical English ability and stimulate their learning motivation.
- Guiding students to learn English independently and set appropriate learning goals for themselves.
- Making full use of various language resources and building a bilingual learning environment to enrich students' English learning experience.
Evaluation System
The English teaching and research group will establish a comprehensive evaluation system for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning. The system includes:
- Regularly assessing students' English proficiency by means of standardized tests and performance evaluation to track their progress.
- Collecting feedback from students and their parents to understand their attitudes towards English learning and related suggestions for improvement.
- Conducting peer observation and reflection to enhance teachers' professional development and teaching quality.
